Plush Tattoo & Intuitive Arts is a cozy, consent-based tattoo studio in Portland, Oregon, founded by married artists Toni and Amber Brennan.

After meeting at a coffee shop and leaving behind our corporate 9–5s (which included years of award-winning customer service at Nordstrom), we set out to create the healing, welcoming tattoo space we always dreamed of, rooted in compassion, creativity, and care.

We unfortunately witnessed firsthand how much racism, gatekeeping, and harm exist in the tattoo industry, especially toward queer folks and people of color. We knew we couldn’t be part of that. Plush was born from the question: Would my queer sisters feel safe getting tattooed here? That answer had to be a hell yes for us!

At Plush, we prioritize trauma-informed practices, clear consent, and a radically chill atmosphere. Our roots are in Hawaiʻi and deeply influenced by the hospitality, stewardship, and artistry of our island upbringings.

Toni (he/him) has been tattooing professionally since 2017 and apprenticed under Aaron Sadoyama in Kāneʻohe, specializing in bold, illustrative work with deep reverence for Japanese tattoo traditions.

Amber (she/her) is a Holy Fire II Reiki practitioner, trained in both cosmetic tattooing (Pacific Academy of Cosmetic Tattooing) and traditional body art, and brings intention and ritual into every experience.

We also offer intuitive sessions such as tarot, charm casting, and energy balancing for those looking to blend the spiritual with the physical. (And yes — we’re a little witchy, but we’re skeptic-friendly too.)
